My Big Ride

Today was Jacob's first ride in a shopping cart.  He enjoyed his ride, but became worn out fast!  I think there was just too much to look at and take in.

I Like to Party

Jacob has been to three weddings in his short life.  I decided to look back at him from each wedding weekend and boy has he changed.  Here is a little wedding flashback...

5 Months Young

Jacob is 5 months old today, Friday, January 7th!  I remember when we were counting Jake's life by weeks and every Saturday I would sing Happy Birthday to him.  Now we're counting in months!  It's amazing how much he changes each week.  Jacob lights up our lives!  Every day he makes us smile and laugh out loud!

5 MONTHS

~ He loves to eat stage 1 baby food...especially green beans.  He is eating 8 ozs 4 times a day, one 2.5 oz jar of baby food, and apple juice as needed.

~ Jacob loves when I sing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star".  I sang this from day one.  Now, if he is screaming at the top of his lungs and I sing this he stops immediately.  If he's already happy and I sing it he just looks up at me and smiles.

~ Jacob laughs out loud.  He seems to be ticklish OR tickled at the silly things we do to try to amuse him.

~ He loves people and everyone comments on how happy he is.

~ He loves to blow rasberries.

~ He loves to hold the shirt of whoever is holding him during a nap OR rub his hands on a blanket.

~ Jacob has two teeth and I think we'll see a couple more anytime now.  He is constantly drooling and putting things in his mouth.

~  He is sleeping through the night usually 10pm - 8am...give or take 30 minutes.

~  Jake loves to try to pet Saddie when she is nearby.

~ He rolls over almost immediately after he is put on his tummy, but only rolls one way so far.
